The Alien franchise is set to make a big leap into virtual reality with Alien: Rogue Incursion Deluxe, a highly anticipated VR title launching on December 19, 2024. Developed by Survios in collaboration with 20th Century Games, this new entry in the Alien universe promises an immersive action-horror experience, tailored for the next generation of virtual reality platforms like PlayStation VR2, PCVR, and Meta Quest 3.

Storyline and Gameplay

The game follows Zula Hendricks, a former Colonial Marine who embarks on a perilous mission to the planet Purdan, home to the mysterious and deadly Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility. As the protagonist, players will have to navigate this facility, uncover hidden secrets, and face the ultimate threat: Xenomorphs. The storyline is original to the Alien universe and promises high-intensity encounters, where the player must use both combat skills and environmental tactics to survive.

One unique aspect of the game is that Xenomorphs behave unpredictably, with dynamic AI pathing and spawning, making every encounter with these terrifying creatures distinct. As Zula, you’re equipped with an array of weapons and gadgets, alongside your sentient AI companion, Davis 01, to help you fend off the relentless alien menace.

Alien: Rogue Incursion Deluxe is designed from the ground up for virtual reality, powered by Unreal Engine 5, to provide an incredibly immersive horror experience.
